Periods of hire
Variations on hire times and bookings are to be discussed at the point of booking if they require a deviation from the standard times set out below.

- Fitness and well-being sessions (Yoga / Pilates / Meditation / Dance / Ballet / Self-defence / Keep fit classes)
- Creative classes (Art / Crafts / Cooking)
- Youth clubs
- Cinema (subject to the appropriate licence being obtained)
- Older people’s clubs /activities
- Games sessions like Indoor bowls, table tennis, and darts subject to equipment
- Adult and community learning
- Health clinics ie Blood donors / Breast screening
- Social gatherings such as coffee mornings/afternoon teas, seniors’ lunches
- Fundraising events – craft / bake sale/plant sale/jumble sale
- Groups or clubs (Horticultural / Flower arranging / Book club etc )
- Committee meetings and events
- Provision for special interest and faith groups
- Playgroups/preschool groups
- Political events – Polling station / Election campaigns

Clubs & societies
To use the hall, clubs and societies need to provide a copy of their risk assessment and insurance at the point of booking.
Alcohol
The Memorial Hall does not have a licence to allow people to buy or sell alcohol. If anyone wants to hire the hall for an event and offer the opportunity to buy and sell alcohol, they will need to obtain their alcohol licence for that specific event in advance and confirm they have this in place on their booking form.

How to book
Contact us to inquire about availability and with your booking information. We take 25% of the fee to secure a booking, then 14 days before take the remainder of the fee, plus a refundable £50 security deposit, if no damage occurs. Bookings can be made any time in advance. Getting involved with the memorial hall
Yes everyone is welcome and can volunteer their time, support, expertise, and items of use on an ad hoc basis or give as much time as they can. Some specific roles and tasks will need to be carried out and more details can be found on these at the Annual General Meeting. Please contact us to let us know how you can help
